Audio Forum. Includes 6 audio CD discs ( = 5 hours), and a 314-page textbook. This second-year conversation course, teaches Chinese the way it is currently being used in China. This program of lively and colloquial dialogs is suitable for anyone who has completed the first-year study of Chinese. It can follow Speak Mandarin or any other comparable first-year course in Mandarin. Pinyin and Yale Romanizations transcriptions are used throughout the text, but correspondence tables are given between Wade-Giles Romanization and Pinyin so the text can be used regardless of the Romanization system learned previously. Both full and simplified characters are provided.
