Peru is another example of just printing too few copies at a time of rising market interest. As hard as one tries to gauge market demand, there are always little surprises; in this case, a pleasant one.

The printing earlier this year sold through much more quickly than expected. We reviewed the artwork, as we always do at the end of a print run, and decided to reprint as there were no noticeable errors or changes. Enjoy!

This latest edition of our popular regional map of the Cuzco area (scale 1:110,000) and of all of southern Peru (scale 1:1.500,000) has a new cover picture and updated road information.

The famous Inca Trail is shown in detail with excellent inset maps of Machu Picchu (schema), Inca Trail-scale 1:50,000 as is the latest image of Machu Picchu, which is still being uncovered through archaeological digs and Lima-scale 1:13,500 to assist visitors.

As with previous versions, the rest of side A consists of a detailed street plan of Cuzco itself, and the reverse side shows all of southern Peru from north of Lima to La Paz in Bolivia. The new road to Brasil is also shown, but we're really not sure how drivable it is. Now, one map will cover all the routes to Cuzco.

Peru is one of the most-visited South american countries; so much that we have four titles covering the country - one of Peru itself, one of the northern half, one of Cuzco and the far south, and this one covering the central portion of Peru.

As we have visited the country recently, we have been able to update our road network auite a bit, so this map is much more accurate than others. Apart from historic Lima, which we also upadted during our visit, the main attractions of the country are Cuzco and Machu PIcchu, bith of which are included on this map, as is the new paved highway going to Brazil.

The map also includes the mysterious Nazca'Lines', interesting mountain cities, ans fabulous Lake Titicaca. Most of Lima is portrayed on the other side of the sheet, with hotels, shopping areas, and the Centro Historico, nicely represented in detail. Double sided, on paper
