The lush landscape, hillside covered with intricate patchwork of crops, French colonial influence, Locals with friendly vibes and subsistence lifestyle is a significant departure.

The lack of coastline in Burundi doesn’t mean a lack of beaches; the country has some great in land beaches where the heat can be escaped by a cool and safe dip in one of the country’s lakes. Varied Culture in Burundi and the influence from colonial settlers as well as the adopted cultures are worth learning about in order to understand this small yet fascinating country.

The must to try Sights in the city include the university which is the only one in Burundi and the Independence Monument which remembers hard times of occupation by French, Belgian and German rulers. The Living Museum in Bujumbura is one of the best museums of its kind in Africa showcasing ancient and modern crafts used in Burundi.
