Fly Fishing Adventure, Arizona's Lee's Ferry
Trout
- Travel Video.
DVD
.
Bennett-Watt Productions.

LOCATION: The Colorado river
below Glen Canyon Dam encompassing the Marble Canyon. Absolutely
breath-taking in it’s beauty and pristine crystal clear cold water with
a remarkable population of healthy rainbow trout. Lees Ferry is managed
as a trophy trout fishery and the river yields rainbow trout from 16 to
22 inches. And larger. Strong beautiful fish. Some people describe the
Colorado River at Lees Ferry as "the world's largest spring creek." In
reality, it's a massive, clear running tailwater fishery running 15.5
miles from the outflow of Lake Powell at Glen Canyon Dam to the upper
end of the Grand Canyon.
GUIDES: Expert guides Terry Gunn & Jeff English from Lees Ferry Anglers.
FLY TYING: Jim Watt ties a Zebra Midge, a particularly effective fly on
the Colorado River.
This DVD is a great way to enjoy and learn about one of America’s great
fisheries, that fishes just the same if not better today, than it did
decades ago.

Antelope Canyon
U.S.A - Travel Video.
DVD.
Terra Mystica. 26 Minutes.

ANTELOPE CANYON
Located in the North American state of
Arizona, Antelope Canyon is an
amazing kaleidoscope of natural rock formations that not only contain a
bewitching spectrum of blazing colour but also an array of shapes and
dimensions that are truly awe-inspiring, mind boggling and…’unreal’!
The rocks were formed by the petrified remains of prehistoric sand dunes
during the time that the region was covered by the sea.
Not just from the outside but from within, Antelope Canyon is a visual
treat at every turn and even the most down to earth souls must suddenly
feel a sense of creative inspiration with each blink of the eye.
It is as though a giant sculptor has mixed the earth up in a great
melting pot, added every imaginable colour and hue to his incredible
creation and then invited the world to view it so that they could
attempt to fathom how such an overwhelming and natural miracle came to
be.

Antelope Canyon
U.S.A - Travel Video.
DVD.
Nature Wonders.
10 Minutes.

Just outside the town of Page in the state of
Arizona
a narrow and unimpressive entrance leads into the mysterious world of
Antelope Canyon.
The small Antelope Creek River that is infrequently fed by
additional water has, throughout the course of thousands of years, cut a
fascinating canyon into the red sandstone and created a natural work of
art.
For thousands of centuries Antelope Canyon lay undiscovered until in
1931 a twelve year old Navajo Indian girl accidentally discovered the
entrance to the canyon while herding sheep.
Her discovery led to one of the most impressive slot canyons in the
United States.
The incredible patterns on the swirling, wave-like rock were once
covered by torrents of water and now they are so smooth and perfectly
shaped that they are like an artistic sculpture.
During the day the impressive and colourful play of light and shadow
constantly conjures up new visual wonders.
Antelope Canyon is often praised as a masterpiece of nature and it is
undoubtedly its unearthly beauty that provides this mystical canyon with
its universal and captivating appeal.

Canyon De Chelly
U.S.A
- Travel Video.
DVD.
Nature Wonders. 10 Minutes.

The
Canyon De Chelly is a land full of myth and legend and also a national
monument of Native Indian culture in the midst of today’s Navajo
reservation.
Archaeologists have discovered that the deep, rocky valleys of this
region were first inhabited by Native Indian tribes around a thousand
years ago. The canyon offered natural protection against hostile attack
and during the dry months of summer also provided a good supply of
water.
Today, numerous impressive cliff dwellings indicate the golden cultural
period of the famous historic Indians, the Anasazi. Around four hundred
years after the sudden and mysterious disappearance of the Anasazi,
their ancient dwellings were occupied by the Navajo. However, the
tranquil atmosphere of the canyon did not last forever as it was once
the scene of various bloody battles between the Navajo and the Spanish.
The White House is one of the most famous cliff dwellings and
archaeological sites in the Canyon De Chelly and is open to the public.
Various impressive petroglyphs have been found close to such settlements
and many of these rock paintings date back to the time of the Anasazi.
Few regions in the United States manage to unite both Native Indian
history and culture with a natural landscape such as that of the Canyon
De Chelly.

Grand Canyon
U.S.A
- Travel Video.
DVD.
Nature Wonders.
10 Minutes.

There are few
places on Earth that highlight the power of nature or are as impressive
as the truly awesome Grand Canyon. Millions of years ago erosion and the
relentless power of the Colorado River created its magnificent landscape
and even today the river continues to force its way through the rock,
sand and mud of Canyon.
The Canyon extends for four hundred kilometres and its width ranges
from between six and thirty kilometres.
In 1919 the American government designated the region as a protected
area. The first to discover the canyons were the Anasazi Indians who
settled in the area around a thousand years ago.
They hunted for food and also cultivated corn, pumpkins and beans
in many of the neighbouring valleys. Even today a small Indian tribe
lives in a nearby canyon.
Words alone cannot describe the incredible landscape with its
ever-changing colours and fascinating rock walls as the final rays of
the setting sun disappear below the horizon until darkness falls in the
majestic world of the Grand Canyon.
